Philippians 4:11-12 Ecclesiastes 3:1

I know how to live humbly, and I know how to abound. I am accustomed to any and every situation—to being filled and being hungry, to having plenty and having need.

11 Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be [f] content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.

12 I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.

Apostle Paul gives us 3 BALANCE in This Scripture

The Balance of: LOW & HIGHS

Abase: to make low, bring low, Humbleness

Abound: to exceed/ comes in abundance, or overflows unto

The Balance of: FUFIL & BE IN WANTS

Full: fulfil or satisfy the desire of any one

Hungry: famished, starved.

The Balance of WINS & LOSES

Abound: over and above

Suffer  be left behind in the race and so fail to reach the goal, to fall short

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. 12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.

I have passed through all these states; I know how to conduct myself in each, and how to extract good from all. And he had passed through these things, especially the hardships, so that he had learned the lesson perfectly, as the word memuemai (initiate) implies; he was thoroughly instructed; fully initiated into all the mysteries of poverty and want, and of the supporting hand of God in the whole

Paul is saying

whether I have too many things or I do not have enough to fill my need, that makes no difference

Ecc. 9:11 I returned and saw under the sun that— The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.

"Getting in balance is not so much about adopting new strategies to change your behaviors, as it is about realigning yourself in all of your thoughts so as to create a balance between what you desire and how you conduct your life on a daily basis.

Being out of balance means that your true self will start to be confused with what you pretend to be."

"Too much of one thing can end up creating stress

Three signs your life may be out of Balance

  1. You feel you are very busy but not sure you are accomplishing anything
  2. You feel burned out. You’re constantly tired, have headaches or other physical and emotional signs of stress.
  3. You feel like you are living someone else’s schedule and have lost your direction

3 WISDOM PRINCIPLES YOU CAN APPLY

1.Prioritizing has the characteristic of being productive and gives the power to produce.

When you learn how to prioritize your life, you can focus with intention on what matters and accomplish your most important goals.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

2. Disconnect from Distractions

“A distraction is anything that’s an enemy to your focus.”

“When you can define your focus and eliminate your distractions you can predict your results.”

Philippians 3:13 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[a] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

3.Make Time for Yourself

it is important to take small breaks periodically to recharge and refresh.

break from the usual routine and rest and relax to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.

Matthew 11;28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Balance gives us a perspective that can help us to make better decisions; we gain a sense of calm, and we gain the ability to see the big picture.
