SCRIPTURE: John 14:12(CEV) ¹² I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the father.

I believe we as Kingdom Citizens, we are blessed to have so many privileges

But the question is are we taking advantage of these supernature Benefits?

2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:      

SCRIPTURE TEXT: John 14:12

• The Disciples are struggling with Jesus’ departure, and whats going to happen after he die.
• I must go and prepare a place for you, and I will come and get you.
• Thomas ask how can we know the way to God?
• Jesus Says “I am the way the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
• if you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him. You’ve even seen him!”
• 8 Philip said, “Master, show us the Father; then we’ll be content.”
• You’ve been with me all this time, Philip, and you still don’t understand? To see me is to see the Father. So how can you ask, ‘Where is the Father?’ Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?
• 12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

YOUR FAITH MUST BE IN GOD

WHAT NATURE OF FAITH 

To Be totally Confidence in and commitment to Jesus Christ. These attitudes must remain sure even though the objects of faith are unseen. True faith in God is seen in obedient action, love and continuing good works.

What is Faith

11 Now faith is [a]assurance of things hoped for, a [b]conviction of things not seen.

Faith is the confidence or assurance of things hoped for. The Greek word translated "substance" (KJV) or "assurance" (ASV, NASV) refers literally to "something that stands under," such as the foundation, or substructure of a building. (5) What about the, original word rendered "evidence" (KJV) or "conviction" (ASV, NASVP This term would commonly be used in a court of law. "It refers to an argument of disproof or refutation; it is used of cross-examining someone with a view to establishing evidence. It refers also to the basis on which a person is convicted."(6) In what sense is faith the conviction of unseen realities? "The thought would seem to be that as, for example, the eyes prove certain acts in the visible world, so faith enables one to Act with a view of facts in the higher, invisible realm. . . Faith is the full assurance and inner conviction that gives men the power to stake their lives on unseen realities

THE OBJECT OF FAITH

Psalm 25:1-2 I offer you my heart, Lord God and I trust you.Don’t make me ashamed
     or let enemies defeat me.

Psa.26:1 Show that I am right, Lord! I stay true to myself, and I have trusted you
     without doubting.

Proverbs 20:25 Don’t fall into the trap of being a coward— trust the Lord, and you will be safe

1 Peter 1:21 ²¹ And when he did come, it was to lead you to have faith in God, who raised him from death and honored him in a glorious way. That’s why you have put your faith and hope in God

1. WHY IS MY FAITH IN GOD IS NECESSITY?

a fundamental duty for all people and the necessary response to God as the only true God. The only channel through which God’s blessings may be received, and the only means by which life may be made

meaningful, in relationship with God.

Faith is what helps to get us through, illuminating the pathway in times of darkness, helping to give us strength in times of weakness. Without faith, we are nothing.

Heb.11:6 (AMPC) But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].

Ps. 40:4 Amp Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who makes the LORD his trust, And does not regard the proud nor those who lapse into lies.

Faith in God must be Exercise

Faith isn’t something we exercise just once. We need faith daily. It is a mistake to trust God for the “big” things of heaven (like salvation) but not the “little” things on earth (like daily guidance). God invites us to trust him, moment by moment, for all of our concerns.

38 He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water.

Faith in God must be Tested

“A faith that cannot be tested cannot be trusted”

- It’s Not Punishment, It’s Pruning:

Romans 5:3-4 (AMPC) Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance.

4 And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of [c]character (approved faith and [d]tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] [e]joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.

1. FAITH IN GOD IS THE BASIS FOR PEACE

Peace Is the Emotion of Faith

Peace is that condition of heart that communicates to us that God is fully involved in our situation.   Once our heart is assured that all will be well, peace comes. FAITH IN GOD IS THE BASE FOR PEACE Ps. 42:11, John 14:1 Ro. 15:13

The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety. George Mueller

Ro. 15:13 GWT May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in him. Then you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

1. ACTIONS NOT SPRINGING FROM FAITH ARE SINFUL Ro. 14:23, Ro.14:5-8,14

Ro.14:23 NIV But whoever has doubts(B) is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.[a]

Anything, absolutely any act or attitude which is owing to a lack of trust in God is sin, no matter how moral it may appear to men.

faithless acts are sin is that they don’t glorify God as trustworthy

1.CONSISTENT FAITH DOESN’T COME FROM WHAT YOU DO OCCASIONALLY, IT COMES FROM WHAT YOU DO CONSISTENTLY.

• Establishes Your reputation
• Make you relevant
• Maintains your message

2.FAITH PRODUCE OBEDIENCE, OBEDIENCE PRODUCES BLESSING

• Obedient Faith is What Causes God to Move
• When you obey God, you never be disappointed
